This happened to the Sirko’s House dog shelter in 2020. They are situated in the Ivano-Frankivsk region which suffered from heavy rains and flooding that year. The shelter was flooded, and the water destroyed many of the enclosures. Most of the 300 dogs who lived there had to be temporarily evacuated.
Many locals volunteered to take the animals and help with the reconstruction. MacPaw provided financial support so that they could buy materials and tools and rebuild the damaged property. The shelter recovered from the flood, and they were soon ready to reopen their doors to the animals. We are glad that we could contribute to the process!
