(FRC) is the world's biggest robotics contest. Every year more than 4000 teams of high school students from all over the world compete for the prizes. The winners get a chance to take part in the final championship. Many world-famous companies support the competition and the teams, among them NASA, Boeing, Daimler, General Motors, Johnson & Johnson, Motorola, and others. And until recently, Ukraine was not represented at the competition.
The guys from NeuraBl!nk #7851 were the first team from Ukraine at the 2020 FRC in Istanbul. They were among the winners who got to compete in the final championship in the USA. They went on to compete in the 2021 FRC, representing both Ukraine and the Kyiv Youth Federation of Robotics.
Robotics competitions combine the thrill of sports with the depths of science. The participants need to be skilled in science, technology, engineering and, math (STEM), and not just that. The FRC also requires the teams to work on their brands and presentation. All this is an invaluable experience for the future careers of these gifted and motivated teens.
However, between registration fees, travel, and purchasing parts, FRC can be very expensive. So teams set out to find sponsors. Our company is proud to have supported the NeuraBl!nk team. Aside from financial support, we were able to welcome them into the MacPaw Space so that they could finish working on their robot there.
